IRIS Candles was founded in London and inspired by scents from around the world. I'm Lucy, the founder, and IRIS Candles was named after my grandmother to honour her memory. Scents have long been used as a pathway for invoking memory and my dream was to recreate and share the scents that have brought me peace, joy, comfort and love.

Working in the field of mental health support, I have seen how important essential oils can be in improving people's moods by helping them to relax with calming lavender or invigorating them with citrus scents such as lemon and orange. There is a power in the ritual of lighting a candle, a ritual I want to bring to people's daily routines to help them find some calm in their busy lifestyles.

My priority is to create candles that are clean and free of harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrances, to ensure that you can experience the true healing properties of essential oils.

Each candle is named after the memory of a special place that the scents transport you to. The names of the candle are in different languages – these are the languages I have loved learning and which continue to bring me joy. These names bring a deeper meaning to each fragrance. I hope you feel and enjoy the magic.
